Product Details
The spiral curry comb is a staple in professional grooming yards and competition stables for good reason: the coiled spring steel construction works in all directions without the fixed-direction limitation of traditional flat-toothed combs. Each concentric ring of serrated steel flexes independently against the horse's body, conforming to curves across the shoulder, neck, and hindquarter while maintaining consistent contact pressure.
The spring design is self-reversible — the comb works effectively with both clockwise and anticlockwise strokes, which means the direction of the stroke is dictated by the horse's hair pattern rather than the tool's geometry. This makes the technique more natural and the result more thorough than combs that only work efficiently in one direction.
The serrated steel rings loosen and lift caked mud, dried sweat, embedded dead hair, and loose coat efficiently from the base of the hair shaft, preparing the coat for the body brush pass that follows. The spring tension can be adjusted slightly by the angle of the handle — holding the comb more parallel to the body increases contact area and gentleness for sensitive areas; angling it reduces contact area and increases intensity for stubborn debris.
The anti-slip handle is sized to sit securely in the palm without requiring a tight grip, which reduces hand fatigue across extended grooming sessions on horses with heavy winter coats or significant mud accumulation. The handle attaches centrally to the spring assembly, which keeps the comb balanced in the hand throughout circular strokes.
Available in Small, Medium, and Large — select above. Small suits ponies and fine-coated horses; Medium is the most versatile size for general use; Large suits warmbloods and heavy-coated horses where maximum coverage per stroke reduces overall grooming time.

The reversible design is genuinely useful — I use the scraping side to clear mud in winter and the massage side to finish in warmer months. Rubber construction is very comfortable for my horse and the anti-slip grip keeps it secure throughout. Good quality comb.
Well made curry comb. The rubber is the right hardness — firm enough to shift debris but not harsh against skin. My mare actually leans into the massage side, which tells you something. The grip is comfortable over a long grooming session.
Good solid curry comb. The double-sided function works well and the handle is very comfortable. Rubber quality is good and it's held up well through regular use. Happy with it as an everyday grooming tool.
