I'm a working farrier and these tools are genuinely professional grade. The nippers have a beautiful action and the rasp holds its cut well. The leather case is an unexpected quality addition — I've started using it instead of my old canvas roll.
Excellent kit for an experienced horse owner who does their own maintenance trimming. The hoof knife is impressively sharp and the gauge is a brilliant addition. My only note is the rasp could be slightly coarser for initial levelling, but for finish work it's perfect.
Bought this after my farrier recommended I get a decent set of tools for between visits. The quality is far above what I expected at this price. The leather case keeps everything organised and the tools have a reassuring weight and solidity to them. Very pleased.
